want to try and put some glass beads into a maple stock
whats the best method of making them stay there??
epoxy, or just super glue and stock finish?

I drill a slightly undersize hole,(couple of thousand's)and gently pound the bead in. The shape of the bead will keep it in. if a couple break,or fall out,add's to the look. Never had any fall out though.

A drop of Boiled Linseed oil will also grab it.
Drill it, drop in a little oil, push the bead in, let dry as much as Linseed Oil drys.
