Sweeps for a volute.

What are the sweep sizes for gouges that recreate a volute?

Here is the chart of all the sweeps from wood crafters pick out what you nee. Personally only a couple ar really necessary. for Kentucy rifle building just pick the ones you like that match the type of carving you prefer.  You can add others as you find the need for them. I like a good fish tail sweep. Check out this page

If you go to the ALR Home page, click on the Gunbuilding heading, then click on Sharpening on the left side menu.  Half way down the sharpening page is a section on carving gouges.  There is a picture of a Golden Mean derived volute divided into the numbered gouges.
