interesting rifle at Lehighton auction Sunday

Auctionzip shows an interesting rifle on Sunday in Lehighton. I'm not sure what to make of it. I'll try to post a link later.   It has some really nice features that make me think of Kuntz, but I'm a novice. I thought it might bring up some interesting discussion

Just wondering if someone with self confidence in the area can address ( analyze) the nature of the wear patterns  on the stock and around the "furniture."
Was this an attempt at "refinishing or restocking." It seems unusual?

It was probably caused by using Brasso to polish the brass many years ago, that's pretty common Fred.
