I have never owned a TVM rifle, though I have handled a few, but I have also never been a TVM basher. They make a good contemporary longrifle product. I like your rifle and I am sure it will be a good shooter. Admire it for what it is--nice lines and fine wood and made from quality parts--whether or not it conforms to any old school. It is not a gun I would buy for reenacting, but for targets/hunting, it should be fine. There are few builders who make perfect rifles--and most that do happen to post here
. What were those old song lyrics...you can't please everyone, so just please yourself?

Kermit.........I can recall building a gun with "claro" walnut, and you coould see a splice mark in the butt area of the gun..
...two different pieces that grew together, kind of neat. I always liked claro for the colors that you would find....Don

I agree Mike, that IS a problem, the few that can build perfect examples of historical rifles all post here.
