S.E. Michigan Trade Gun Round Robin
« on: January 15, 2013, 05:03:51 AM »
Is anyone here going to this event? If you haven't,I'd highly reccomend it. There are some mighty fine Smoothbore shooers here! I have enjoyed shooting with a lot of these guy's for many many years, and if you want to place high in the standing's,ya better bring your A game!

I think it's 7 club's involved and each one takes turn hosting the shoot. Really a great idea that work's very well.

If anyone here would like to shoot it,or are interested in shooting a smoothbore,I have 2 "spare" guns ya can use. I have all the fixin's for them so you dont have to worry about having to come up with anything to shoot except the desire to shoot! Free,of course.  Wife just told me I'm like a drug dealer,"First one's free",then your "hooked"

TGRR consists of 20 round ball shots at woods walk type targets and 4 shots at clay pigeons.  It also includes three throws with  tomahawk and  knife and fire starting with flint and steel.  Lunch is provided by the host club.  These are really fun events at a time when ML opportunities are reduced.  Grab your gun and come shoot!

Our first shoot was a really good one. 25 shooters and the weather held off for a day! I started out taking the center out of the tie breaker, hiting the next 3 target's,then fell flat on my face due to hammer fall's! I was even hitting the bird's!

I've been having issue's with the lock not sparking,so,I recived some advise from Stonewall Creek that I'm going to try this week.If that doesn't do it,off to Yancey for some tuning.

Even though I had lock issue's, it was still a great dayshooting with some really good shooters! Hey Joe,if yer listening, even Lloyd and Boiseneau were there! Get yer skinny butt off the couch and head up here for the next shoot on Feb 23! You can stay at Lloyd's! ;D
