Shooting in Europe
« on: January 29, 2013, 12:07:56 AM »
Wife and I are in the very early stages of planning a trip to Poland in the next 2-3 years. How would I go about looking into the type of shooting and reenacting they would be doing over there.I've seen some F&I type event's in the Neatherlands somewhere. Are they even allowed to possess or even shoot muzzleloaders?

There's a man by the name of Boleslaw (Bolek) Maciaszczyck* who goes by the handle of Razpla on another muzzleloader forum. He's from Poland and makes jaw-dropping early flint and pre-flintlock firearms. He might be an "in" to the black powder crowd over there.

And boy do they reenact over there, but mostly Napoleonic era. Look up the reenactment of Borodino on YouTube. Something like 12,000 participants.

And yes, although the laws are stricter, they do shoot muzzleloaders over there.

You might also check out Muzzle Loaders Associations International Committee (MLAIC): http://www.mlaic.org/
