I got all the pieces done today for a sewing set that will be a prize for the W.C.H.F. A pincushion, button box, lucet, needle case, horn needles, thimble and bobbin.

Good evening Sir; Nice looking set. I just have one (1) question, a subject I know little about, " Lucet ". Do lucets have a hole centered just above the handle, to control project tension ? Thanks for sharing with this forum. Thanks, AJ.

I'm afraid I'm no expert either AJ. I have seen them both ways. Usually they're smaller than this one but I found a picture of a beautiful antique Ivory one on Pinterest. Couldn't make it out of Ivory but I thought this would be a neat tool. Maryellen Pratt was using one when they were out here at the Gun Makers Fair last summer. She made it look so easy. I think she would be the one to ask about these.
