Scabbard for the New Euro Dagger

Sheath is back center seamed from 6/7 oz vege-tan carving leather sewn with linen thread. Leather was given the cuir bouili hardening treatment, and black stained with vinegaroon. Sheath throat is butt joined in the rear by silver brazing. Frog button was cut from 3/16" brass plate and silver brazed to a brass pedestal which is inserted into the button about 5/32" deep, and the pedestal brazed to the throat. The throat cap is joined to the throat with a 650° cadmium solder, then drilled and filed open to allow the blade entry. Hope you enjoy a look.

I like the deep red stain on the handle, what kind of wood did you use? Or is the wood naturally that color?

Your sir are a perfectionist. That is fantastic.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Just stop this now !!!! Every time you post something I want to quit doing what I'm supposed to be doing so I can run out to the shop and make something to try and emulate your magnificent work. Just beautiful !!!

Both pieces of the set compliment each other perfectly. Neither overpowers the other, and both demonstrate wonderful craftsmanship.
...love seeing your work.
