JD Rifle
« on: July 16, 2013, 04:49:17 AM »
I'm looking for some good detailed photos of the "JD" rifle shown in Kindig's book.  This is a John Dreisbach.  Anyone know where there might be some close-up shots?
Thank you

There are Dreisbach guns in the Upper Susquehanna Gunmakers forum in the ALR Library.

See the ALR Library for complete pictures of more than 700 identified guns

Here is the specific  url in the ebook:

Hi Marv, your post kind of excited me for a brief moment until I read the gunsmith you were looking for. If you haven't read the post just down a ways on this same page titled Lock by N.W. Patch, take a look. It is really something just how many gunsmiths had these same initials to their name's! There are several JD initial signed rifles shown in the red patchbox book by Chandler. Some used fancy * markings between the letters. Good luck in your quest to find pictures.    Joel
