Bag makers, take note...

...of the stitching attaching the strap to the rings. There are two rows of stitching running along the sides of the strap with only two long stitches crossing the width of the strap to connect the two sides. This keeps from creating a "tear along the dotted line" situation weakening the strap. It's an error I see often. And BTW, nice bags in all respects--well deserved awards.

The plain bags were made by my wife Karen.  She has been making a few bags over several years. She fisrt learned bag making from Ken Scotts class at Conner Prairie Arms Makers work shop. I made the bag and horn set. I have been making a few bags for many years. I have been making screwtipped horns since early 90's. Originally learned from Roland Cadle and more recently Art DeCamp. I am a journyman inHCH. I have helped Art teach the horn classes at Conner the last several years. Jim Pease
