Light Bench at Friendship
« on: August 31, 2013, 06:54:17 PM »
Hi All,

Would any of you who shoot Light Bench at Friendship share  what the peticular rules are for this type of shoot? I know there is a #14lb. weight limit. What type of muzzle rests are allowed? What type of sights? Does your hand have to be under the butstock? Can you where a shooters mitt on that hand?
I believe false muzzles are allowed.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated since I am a rookie at this.

Thanks, Mike

I would just contact the NMLRA. Since they run it you should be able to get specifics on any event.

Hi Mike,
Micah is right, contact the NMLRA and request a current copy of a rule book. I have a couple here, one of which you are welcome to, but they are older and there may have been changes. If you want one of these, let me know.

Hi Mike

The Light Bench rules are sometimes confusing, call the office and ask for a Field Rep contact who can help with your questions.  My name is listed on the NMLRA Field Rep site under California I would be happy to help.

Mike,
I meant to ask earlier. Are you adding light bench to your current activities or changing allegences? Looking forward to seeing you at Allen's.

Mark, I enjoyed the table shootn' so much I thought I would add the Light Bench shooting and maybe cross sticks. I think this fall shoot at Friendship will be a learning trip. I'll try chunk, and Agg. SS which consists of 2- 50yd and 2- 100yd. One each using open sights the other using any sights(peep). I can't wait until the next Table shoot at Coon's. See you there.
