I don't have any original pics to share but this is a Bucks County rifle I built several years ago with a Shuler like carving pattern.

This pattern was derived from an original piece.  It's not an exact copy, but it's very close...

That's nice Ed.  Makes me feel so inferior, in my older age I am even having trouble writing my name.  How do you make an
"X"....??.........Don

Good incised carving is really tough to accomplish. Plan it well, keep tools sharper than ever. There is no place to hide with pure incised carving. Every mark you make is gonna be there when you're done.

The incised carving in the 2 pics and of course, Lucky RA's BC are great and probably better than on some originals, but in general,  carving isn't the strong point of these original,  beautiful BC LRs.   So...I went w/ a different tack seeing I was also "stumped" as to what I should carve.  Below is carving , that although in relief, somewhat has the "feeling" of a BC ....anyways to me.  The remainder of the LR has all the attributes of a Bucks County LR except the Pbox release. The 2nd LR below has the proper Bbox release under the toeplate.

Fred, I think the relief carving on your Bucks Co. rifles are fantastic.
