What plug threads would you recommend??

Gotten hold of some sections of a used Vulcan barrel and am planning to make a 0.82 caliber dragoon barrel. What size threads would you recommend for the breech breech plug?

PROBABLY a 1"x14 thread for an 82 caliber bore.

Rolf,
That .82 would fit right in with the discussion on "Bear pistols"
that was recently on the forum.
The drill size for the 1"x14 thread is 15/16 which is .937 so the
1"x14 is close.In your part of the planet,possibly a 25MM fine thread
would be easier to find.

Thanks Bob. I 've put in an order for M25 x1.5 taps and dies.

Gunmaker Tom,  we will post pictures when we get started. At moment we are gathering tools and parts.
