There are 2 very nice horn trimmed compass boxes on the contemporary blog this morning. I have always admired Johns work and these latest items are no exception.

that is just plain gorgeous. It would be a beautiful item to have on a fireplace mantle, antique desk, etc. I can't even wrap my head around how it must be crafted.
