I have a copy of Dixon's book on the PA Longrifle, which I'm told is very good. Presuming that there are other worthy selections, is there a listing of those somewhere here on this site? Alternatively, recommendations would be appreciated also. Thanks

Lots of good reading here. I'm still working on the essentials myself.

I highly recommend you get Peter Alexander's book "The Gunsmith of Grenville County".  Peter made a companion set of VHS tapes to go with the book that are great.  One of the ALR members spoke to him a few days ago and Peter said a set of DVDs replacing the VHS tapes should be ready this summer I believe.
