A Few Before & After Horns
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:50:52 PM »
I finished these up the other day, the largest one on the right is about 10”, the smallest is about
3 1/4".
The first pic shows what some of them started out looking like, you have already seen the Blue one finished.

Tim,
Nice, as always. Those couple that are aged would pass for a few I have here at the house. The 3 band is very nice.

Tim,

The more I see these repurposed horns, the more I like them.  It is kind of neat watching the transformation unfold, isn't it.... ;D

I love this Tim. It always makes one feel good when you save something from the trash and make it into a gem. Kind of feels like recycling. Well done.

Great work there. Good to see the materials started with and the really nice end items. Thanks for sharing.

The large horn on the right with a hole drilled in the end plug, is that your idea or is it traditional?  I've never seen this before but I like the idea.

I saw one like it at a County museum here in Ohio. The base on mine is Apple. hand carved with the hole whittled through, the tip has slight panels on it.
