Small Flat Horn W/Pewter Repair
« on: April 19, 2014, 08:03:14 PM »

This one is about 5” long, actually the first pic is just a tad over life size, it is ¾” at the Pine base. Before flattening the horn I turned its tip on the lathe, as in the tip is part of the horn. After flattening I was scraping some little panels and got one spot a little thin so I added the Pewter patch.

Tim,
Is that the one you had at the show last week? For some reason I thought the plate was on the side. Nice looking little horn.

No, that is the one I was telling you was still in the press and I  had forgotten about it. If you think it will work for you it is yours.

I think the "repair" really makes the horn.  Well done.  :-)

Tim,
Everyone is welcome to admire it, but put my name on it. I'll call and we can get together.

Really nice.  I like the repair too.  Have not tried repairs like that yet.  Will get to work on that horn I got from you at the Standing Stone Trade Fair and get it posted on here.  That was the deal. :)

Welcome, glad you made it here. In the mean time, how about some pix of the ones you had at the show?
