That last article sure makes for a picture of what not to do while shooting after a squirrel! Just goes to show you that many mistakes don't give you a second chance to learn from them. Stupid is as stupid does........wonder if he got his squirrel?

Wow that's pretty incredible shooting! If a rod equaled 16.5 feet like it does today that would be 275 yards for the pistol and 357 yards for the rifle shots.

Pretty sure a rod is unchanged since those times, some of my old deeds show them in rods and
they calculate to 16.5. Crack shot is an understatement.
