Dave, I have it, and I'm sort of working around to getting started on it!
One problem was the warp to the forearm that needed to be straightened out some. See the pics below.
The forearm is back to relatively straight now, so as soon as I finish up a customers gun,,,,,
I did talk to a couple guys at the KRA show, and one very knowledgeable guy says he thinks it was likely made by Joseph Whitson of Henderson County, NC. I found a few pictures of Whitson made guns and this one has some of the same details as those, so maybe so.
The initials stamped on the percussion drum are most likely those of the guy that converted it to percussion from flint. Though originally flint, it's going to stay percussion at least while I have it.
I'll post up some pictures when I get it finished.
