Al Comer - anyone familiar with him or his work?

Asking for a friend that has been offered a deal on several pieces, some of which were built by Al Comer.
He was apparently located somewhere in the Ozarks. Any information would be greatly appreciated...

Al is out of Missouri in the  Vichy area,  north of Rollo.

If I remember right he was the one that did alot of restoration on Fort de Chartrause ( spelling?). 

I have a rifle and 2 pistols he built, flintlocks.  He forged a lot of his furniture.

What is your friend looking at?
