W & JR Payson Philadelphia flint lock

I wondered if any of you can give me any information on an original flint lock that is marked "W & JR. Payson" on one line and below it "Philadelphia". The lettering is fairly good but I may have some of the letters wrong. The "W & J"
are certain the rest could possibly be something other than what I think.

It has a roller tipped frizzen spring and is of English design.

looks like a typical import flintlock engraved with the hardware store name.

A conventional Birmingham-made export lock. The "Philadelphia" marking is interesting because there is also a Boston hardware dealer and lock supplier "Payson & Nurse". I suspect there is a relationship. Philadelphia, Boston and New York were the main "ports of entry" for the gun trade.
