Chuck,
I just wanted to say that I thought you did a fantastic job on ole #42. I love that rifle, particularly the carving, and you did justice to the original.

My sentiments as well. #42 is an interesting rifle and he did it justice. Hope he used a barrel that hangs better than the original.

Great gun. I've always been a big fan of Chuck's non Woodbury school guns. His English fowling guns are outstanding. I have always thought he was holding himself back by working in the Woodbury school. His own artwork is as good or better than anything coming out of the Woodbury school. Don't mean to knock the House Bros. either.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

I like Chuck's work. I like the Woodbury school very much. I think Hershel's work at it's best is genius. Variety is good as is individuality.

Hi,
I really like this rifle as well. Chuck's carving and decoration is superb.
