Mark,

Can't comment on RCA 65 but I do know that Martin Shell used four ramrod pipes on some of his rifles.

I believe most Geo. Schroyer rifles had 4.

I had a nicely carved Henry Spitzer Virginia rifle with 4 pipes.

Here's another Virginia, Ca. 1785, built by Adam Haymaker.

Now it does have a 51 and 3/4" barrel which most likely accounts for the (extra) pipe, but it definitely has four (4) - or maybe it was a "Virginia thing"  ;D

thanks guys.   the plan for my 44" squirrel barrel is 4  pins so may as well do 4 pipes too.
