Burton Barrel straight on a cherry blank......late Ketland lock with rounded butt for fire control....from that beautiful Barbie, and the wood is from mom's place...the rifle is a Ky "barrens' type with my flavor added.....
I use a method of rails, screwed to the blank, then rout out the channel with a small trim router. All measurements are triple checked, three types of bits are used, square,45 angle, and for the RR a round tipped bit.

fat butt..the wood has been removed since pic was shot....I use a sanding flapper disc on a Dewalt cut-off grinder...then steps with, rasps and files....
