inletting barrels
« on: December 23, 2014, 03:26:48 AM »
i've been in the process of inletting a  barrel and had occasion to change out a printer's waste toner cartridge at work. figured I'd experiment.  old toner dust + water = inletting medium. just the dust by itself doesn't stick to the barrel well at all. another machine uses a plastic toner ribbon and that works very well.

Toner+WD-40. Thicken with toner to consistency of toothpaste or  a little thinner. Apply sparingly to part to becinletted.
