Black and White Banded
« on: February 06, 2015, 01:52:11 AM »
Finished another, along with a bunch of turkey calls.  Died the cow horn in boiling black Rit dye to get it all black, ebony stain on the maple plug, left the bands and antler tip natural.  I like the way this one turned out, 14" or so around the outside curve.  February is a great month for shop work!

Osprey, I like the contrast between the black and the white. Very nice.

I'm not a big fan of black horns, but I have to say your black and white banded horn is really super nice. I really like it.

Now I'm going to have to make one for me.
