Thanks again guys. Making a bison horn takes a certain amount of fortitude, as I am sure Rick can tell you since he is starting on his first one. I just received 6 nasty, raggedy, foul looking new ones to play with. The end result after working your can off to clean them up is, at least to me, worth the effort. They are often full of unseen surprises and can be very unforgiving but the finished piece is a thing of beauty. The first one I ever saw just screamed at me to do one and to date I have 4 finished ones out in the world, one at home and about 4 that never made it.
