Double Set triggers for wheellock rifles
« on: January 14, 2015, 02:30:26 AM »
I am in the process of preparing to build a 1600's Austrian style Wheellock rifle and have hit a sticking point. I need drawings or photo's of the internals of an original double-set trigger. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, that picture was from my post. I don't know if that particular solution is historically correct, but it works. If you click on that picture I think it will connect you to my photobucket page which has more pictures of the build and (I think) may have better pictures of the trigger fix. I agree with hooking up with Razpla (Bolek) who is a true wizard of the wheellock.

Awesome!!  I have drawings from a fine old book of double set triggers from crossbows.

Art is not an object.  It is the excitement inspired by the object.

The quality of those triggers looks to be self evident. First class from where I sit.
