The Horn From The Casting Thread

 It is about 12 ¾” around the outside curve and 11” TTT. The Walnut base is about 2 ¾” held in by the same four Steel pins that hold the base band in place, it is hollowed out some. The tip is two part, Pewter & Antler held together with 3 Steel pins and to the horn with three more. Central Band held by three more Steel pins. Color is, believe it or not, Gunpowder Green Tea, I may have let it sit too long and Wax.

Good looking horn Tim!  I really like the base plug and how it transitions to the pewter band.

Casting and turning pewter bands for a horn has on my to do list for quite some time.  I might have to give myself another distraction and just do it.  ;D

No, the color is perfect. By the way that Gunpowder Green Tea is great, even better that my wife hates it so it lasts longer around the house!

Great looking horn Tim.  I think the dark color helps set off the pewter bands.
