Rarely do we venture into contemporary gunbuilding art but this is such an occasion. This is one of those; an opportunity to recognize and celebrate todays artisans who not only restore but create anew works of great "artisitc merit." Please read the story of such a work. 6000 hours put into making a cased Kentucky Rifle and its accouterments.

The article on Hugh's masterpiece does provide inspiration and encouragement for a lowly gun maker like myself.   At the very least, it doesn't make me feel quite so bad for spending 300 hours on a passable gun.
