There is an interesting story behind this gun. It was actually started by Leonard Meadows (for those of you who don't know about him, do a search for him on the contemporary collecting forum). Unfortunately, Leonard died before he could finish it. So, 40 years later the owner brings it to me and asks me to finish it for him. Needless to say I was more than happy to oblige.
As far as the components, I have no idea who made them. There are no markings of any kind on any of them. The owner said that Leonard supplied them.
The stain is my own concoction. It's equal parts of Behlen's American Walnut, Medium Mahogany and Wheat mixed together. The finish is Chambers oil rubbed down with rottenstone and then a coating of Renaissance wax.
