Good question, I guess you are talking straight barrel, not swamped. I wish could answer your weight question. All I know is a gun stocked with a barrel like this is not very nose heavy. Made a barrel 3/4 by 32 cal. by 38" long and put on a NC mountain rifle build, the rifle handled good.

I had a .30 x 3/4" x42 barreled rifle.  It was like shooting a .22LR.  No weight to speak of.  A .32 would weight even less.

A 42"(or 44")X3/4"X.32 would have been preferrred to my 38" bl. which is a bit light for offhand.   I have to shove a steel 5/16" rod into the channel to get a good weight for shooting, standing.

I calculated the area of a .75 inch across the flats octagon, subtracted the area of a .32 bore, multiplied by 42 inches and came up with 17.64 cubic inches of steel in that barrel.  Multiply that by an average steel density of 0.284 pounds per cubic inch and you get a barrel weight of 5.009 pounds.

Hope that helps.

Just for the fun of it, I have a B.T. Rains Rifle that is 42" long and 29 cal. Barrel  is 1" at the muzzle and  little smaller at the breech. Hope there is a lot of tree limbs to prop it on if you are hunting with it.

Just realized- mine is a 13/16" X 38" - not 3/4" (12/16") - and it's still too darn light imho.
