The Kentuckys Corps of Longriflemen will hold its first annual Wayne Jenkins Memorial Table Shoot on June 27 at the Kentucky Longrifles Range in Morehead Ky.. 10:00 a.m.  The match will be an UNLIMITED CLASS, meaning under 13 lbs. and all of the normal table shoot regs.. $20.00 and the match will be 6 shots, shortest string. The proceeds go to one of Wayne's favorite charities. Any questions, shoot me a P/M.

I'll assume that they'll be having their monthly table shoot on the 28th as well. I'd like to come down for both days. Sounds like a good time.

Looking forward to a great match. We're going to do Wayne proud! Along with a beautiful trophy and the usual cash payouts, there will be a 7/8"x 40" .38 barrel for the winner.

Two questions:
1 -- is camping allowed on Friday night?
2 -- does everyone need to start at 10 or can people enter later up to some point?

This looks like it is going to be a big shoot and lots of fun.

Yes to your first question. The club has a nice facility (including modern restrooms).
I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE ON YOUR SECOND QUESTION. WE ARE EXPECTING 50 OR SO SHOOTERS. 4 TABLES. PROBABLY 16 TARGETS PER RELAY. I"M PRETTY SURE THAT YOU CAN START A LITTLE LATE. JUST DON'T SHOW UP AT 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON.

Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to come and I hate to miss it. Wayne was one of my favorite people to see at the Alvin York match.

WEATHER MAY BE A REAL THREAT TO THE MATCH. WE WILL MAKE A GO, NO-GO DECISION ON THE MATCH IN THE MORNING. IF WE POSTPONE BECAUSE OF WEATHER, THE MATCH WILL BE SHOT ON SUNDAY IN CONCERT WITH THE MOREHEAD CLUBS' TABLE SHOOT.

Turnout was a little off. Weather I suppose. We had 18 shooters. Bill Disbro was our first champ. Old Bill has found great fortune in Kentucky!!  We will give it a try again next year.

How did Sterling do? Thought it would be kind of fitting if he had won.

I was pulling for ol' Sterling. He shot about like I did, all feathers, no chicken. Funny, I was shooting Xs the day before shooting off hand, couldn't find the darned X from a rest. Vexing game that table shooting!!

Bill has been doing real well in more than Kentucky. He has been cleaning up at the Coon range as well as Friendship, but we're chasing him hard.
