Mark, I guess we just like to reinvent the wheel. Made a spade drill today, all hand and file work. Works great, but a little to big. Forged it out of a cut nail. I'll make it smaller and use a square reamer to open up the hole to the right tapping size. Please keep us posted on your screw making project..........DICK
