Interesting S. Miller on Gunbroker
« on: July 20, 2015, 04:40:41 PM »
I have been watching this rifle on G\B for several "cycles" and have been quite surprised that it did not sell this last time through. Looks to be a pretty nice piece but have noticed that the lock could be a replacement as to fit in it's mortise.  ??   I did see where the seller changed his buy it now price some time back to a higher amount. The last bidding came within 295 away from the current buy it now. Just some ramblings from a bored armchair collector to add some spice to this forum. I suspect the recent interested bidder will jump on the buy it now within a short time.  http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=495419057

S. Miller had a good pattern and he must have had good success with it, because he sure made a lot of the same rifle! That looks like one pretty typical of his work and I think priced pretty fairly. Though a bit high if the lock is a replacement.
Joel, I sent you a PM, and sorry for not replying sooner!
