Try muzzleloader builders supply They have a "Volger" patchbox with an eagle finial. Brass and german silver

Are you looking for sample pictures or an actual patch Box?

Hi Jeff.  Actual patchbox.  I retired from the AF recently as a Colonel and I wanted to build a rifle with an eagle patchbox.  Thanks!

I used to buy patchboxes.   The were often too wide or narrow, too long or short, and looked much like everyone else's patchboxes.  The last one, I bought the kit from Jim Chambers.  It is much thicker, and if you are careful, you can make a better hinge, and either an identical copy of an old one, or, in your case, one with the exact type of eagle you want.  It takes longer, but is well worth it.
Quality, schedule, price; Pick any two.

This rifle was built by Mike Meese, a friend of mine several years ago. Sorry it is the only picture of the PB I have but will give you an idea. Pretty sure Mike got it from MBS. It is in nickel silver.   Congrats and all of my sincere respect on your retirement Col. Carl!!  My nephew just sewed on his BIRD (Army) last month. VERY proud of him!

Congratulations on your retirement Carl. How about taking a look at one of your "Birds" and design a PB around it. Here is one I have, needs a little refinement. The others I have are the Vogler type, they, the Voglers also used Eagles at times on the Cheek pieces.

Carl,

Congratulations on your retirement and thanks sincerely for your service.  Ever cross paths with Chris Wheaton?  He's married to my cousin and just got promoted to Lt. Col.

Any way as far as the patchbox, I don't know if anybody offers an eagle finial box, ready made.  The drawback to the commercial boxes in my opinion is usually the hinge.  It's generally not as tight as a nice hand fitted one.

As FW mentioned, Jim Chambers offers excellent blank kits with the hinge formed but the knuckles not cut out.
If you can find a good picture for a pattern, it can be copied to the appropriate size with many home copier/printers, then affixed to the finial blank with elmer's spray-on adhesive and sawn out with a jeweler's saw.

Another thing to consider with an eagle box is the engraving.   ;)

Not sure how much of that your willing to tackle, but there are a number of things to consider.

Best of luck,
Jeff
