I've used Goehring's castings on quite a few builds and once I remembered the nos of the castings I used, no trouble. But, at the beginning, I either didn't know or forgot {my bad} the casting nos. So, after talking to Reeves he said he would send what he thought I wanted. Well. they were the wrong castings and to make a long story short, had to add the many back and forth shipping costs onto the price of the castings. If some other vendors had what I wanted, I would not have gone through Reeves.
Not to say he's not a nice guy....have talked to him a few time and even paid him a visit and his wealth of knowledge was quite evident, but doing business w/ him can be trying....especially for beginning gunmakers. But in the end, for some builds, his castings are the only ones to use.....Fred
