Yep, I'll be getting one together and finished one of these days.  Should end up being pretty snazzy looking!

I thought from the start that you were on to something.
Filling a niche that needed filling, and filling it in a big way with a great design

Looks like a lott'a work, I guess that's a good thing.

Thanks guys!  Yep, it is lots of work.  Especially figuring every little detail out and getting the project rolling.  But it's a lot of fun too!

Thanks guys!  Yep, it is lots of work.  Especially figuring every little detail out and getting the project rolling.  But it's a lot of fun too!

My nephew ordered one a week or so ago...Just sent him the greenville county book..He's "pumped"..his first
He's in his mid 20's and this kit will draw more of the same age into the muzzleloading world .
Got a good thing going here..Wish you all the best!

I will be very interested to see these rifles as various makers complete them.  Great subject and architecture.  The finishes, sights, patchboxes (if any)......Lots of room for interpretation.  Like the "reality tv" shows where everyone gets the same ingredients, but has to come up with something original. 

My brain is thinking a dark chocolate brown stain with well rubbed back finish on the metal. Maybe a banana patchbox......?

I am no rifle builder, but may just buy one set and put it in the closet for a while. 

Remember builders.....post photos as you go and when you are done!

  I saw this and had to have one, need it like a hole in the head.  Mine will be here sometime this spring. With all that's done on these kits it should be an easy-fun build.

It's really nice to know how excited you all are about this project.  I'm excited as well and we're working hard.  Our work as well as that by lock supplier, Jim Chambers, and barrel manufacturer, Jason Schneider, has resulted in an outstanding product.  As others have mentioned, it's a win, win situation for suppliers and customers...   I'll be posting more updates in the near future.  Thanks!

I too will put in a deposit for one, but I'm waiting to see which class I get at the WKU seminar in June.  It could be that I end up in Jim's class, so I'll just wait and see.

I put my deposit down a few weeks ago. It'll be my first flintlock (not counting a piece of junk Traditions I had for a brief period) and I'm pretty excited about it. I'll keep checking in to see when Jim gets one put together.
