At least I think thats what you call it, anyway, I have liked this style of imaging since I was a kid.

Very nice.  PA Dutch influence.  Been searching for a Fraktur from my ancestors for years.  They were in Dauphin County PA.

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Yes old traveler. I made it to go with a Bucks county hunting rifle I made for myself.

How did you apply the color? Is it a paint or dye? I think it looks great, a very interesting horn for sure.

You did an excellent job on that horn, unusual motif, but it came together well, and looks great on the horn.

Looks really good Robby.  I have done several horns with a Fraktur Distelfinks theme, but your looks a lot better than my efforts.  Poly-chrome adds a lot to these.

KC, I usually us regular fountain pen ink for colors but for some reason I used 'magic markers' to do this one. When I cooked it, the colors bled into the water solution and gave the horn a bluish cast, that doesn't show up quite so much in the photo's as it does in hand. A fellow at the range one day wondered aloud if it was him, or does that horn have a bluish look to it, and I replied that indeed it does and there is a big angry fellow from Minnesota named after a foot malady that is looking for his ox! Hah!

I love the pattern Robby. Most excellent.  My rifle has a Distlefink box on it.  Those Germans loved their Goldfinches.   :-)
