Does anyone have any experience with making moccasins from the un-split shank hide of moose/bear? Found some reference on line to using moose shank to make a tube sock like water proof boot. Been wanting a soft soled 'stalking' shoe to pack and swap out my heavy boots and the idea of waterproof is appealing. I currently do my hunting in my best 'church shoes' but the wife hates having to polish them once a week
