I just purchased an antique American Schuetzen rifle. There are no markings anywhere on it except for a "G H" stamped underneath the barrel. Does anybody have an idea if that was the barrel maker and who it might be? It is approximately 42 cal and has very unusual rifling. The grooves alternate between being wide and narrow.
