Butt Plate

Looking for a butt plate with 5 flats on the comb as well as a wedding band.  The comb is     2 and 5/8" long.  The plate is 1 and 1/2" wide and 4 and 1/2" long.  I have looked at TOW and MLBS.  I don't see anything.  Are there any other sources out there I might not know about?  Is it reasonable to get one that is close, cut it down a little and file the flats and wedding band?
Thanks, Bob

Might try Cabin Creek Muzzleloading.  They assembled a kit for me which came with a butt plate like you described.

Check out   R.E. Davis   [ www.redaviscompany.com]   They carry a number of muzzleloading rifle components.

Bob,

I may have run across what you're looking for over in my workshop the other day.  I'll check it out when I go over tomorrow morning first thing.  I'll let you know after I check the measurements on it.

If it helps, this is for a Martin Sheetz gun.
