bending a trigger guard

I know this has has been discussed until your tired of hearing about it
I have a dst davis double set trigger #6 I need to bend the bar
can I heat it to red without triggers in bar and bend with out breaking
tried once without heating and yes it broke I know not to bend around trigger adjustment screw

Be sure to reinstall the pivot pins before you try to bend it and the same for the'
adjustment screw.

Yes you can heat and bend. It is not a hardened part.

Use three rods in your vise to bend the plate where you want it.

no person, unless they unleash the power of Thor, has ever broken a Davis trigger guard. Put it between two objects and lightly pound on it until you have it. And pound it back if you go to far. Nothing else is required IMHO.
