Trigger guard inlet
« on: May 17, 2016, 05:41:58 AM »
How do you go about inletting the trigger guard so that the tail of the guard does not finish with a slight gap caused by the guard having different angle than the stock as it fits into the inlet? I have been increasing the draft on the rear edge beyond the normal draft used in most inlets. Wondering if there are other methods?

I let the front down as far as I can. The rear sprue is let down so the tail is flush on top of the stock. I carefully start lowering the front of the rear plate and widening the sprue inlet foreword as I go down. Stay short of the back end bending it slightly down as you go. Just my way not the only or the best for sure. Bob
