Banana patch box orientation
« on: June 08, 2016, 01:53:31 AM »
My first southern rifle, I bought a patch box from Track, found it was way to long and cut it down a good bit, now for the orientation. I looked at a bunch of them, original and modern and think I have it right, what say you guys, I haven't started inletting yet.

I will second that. You got her pretty well centered on the butt plate and on the wrist and there is enough room to add your latch so I say it's time to dig a hole in that stock ;D

That'll work. TN is my study, so your "shallow" crescent "throws my eye" a little bit.  But then if that were a deep crescent plate it would nearly catch the box-as some of them do.  It's a blend of splitting the butt and wrist, with regard to the lock.  So easy!  ::)

Good work making it FIT your gun.  Show them parts who is BOSS! (and put 'em where they belong).
