This is my 100th shot pouch.  Maybe by pouch #200 I'll have more straight stitching! Materials include cowhide and calfhide and a buckle forged by a friend.  Thank you to Eric Fleisher for sending me the picture of the original below.

 Nice work Eric, as always. The stitching looks fine to me. No offence but if the stitching was straight and even, at least to me it would look Machine made and take away from, not only the character but the craftsmanship.

I agree with Tim. 

I think it's normal to want everything we make to look perfect, but  too perfect and it loses its personalized character.

Eric,
I have found that for me the key to getting straighter stitching is consistency in the looping of the stitches.  I do saddle stitching and have found that if I mess up do not  loop my overhand knot from the same direction and rotation each and every time I will get erratic alignment of the stitches.  Hope what I wrote makes sense. 
On another note, I am a proud owner of one of Eric's first 100 bags.  Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments gents.
I was mostly joking, I'm not a perfectionist by any means. But I know what you mean Dave; erratic passes with the needles will mess up a straight stitch even if your awl holes are well lined up. Consistency and repetition....however boring...seems to be the trick.
