I would just build a right handed rifle straight with no cast off and shoot it left handed. Only my one of my guns is left handed the rest are right handed. My first real build is a right handed rifle.
If it has to be a left handed rifle, get another barrel.

Shorten the barrel and make a new plug like this? They are a pain in the neck to clean, however.

Not if you remove the barrel for cleaning using a bucket of water - pumping the water into and out of the bore using this method will get it perfectly clean.

Thanks everyone, for your input and advice.  Still toying with the idea of building a left-handed gun around this barrel, simply for the sake of making something different.  I myself am a southpaw but aside from eating and writing I do everything else right-handed.   I have a brother who is right-handed but shoots a gun with his left hand.

On the other hand (no pun intended)I have everything needed to build a "normal" rifle.  Decisions, decisions............   :-\
