None that I know of. All of Bill's machines were made for right hand twist.
He may have recut or "freshed out" as it was known a left hand twist but
there were no guides or geared set up for left hand.

I was hoping that you might respond Bob. Thank you.

I have a rifle so rifled with Bill's stamp on a flat (WM Large).

It also has an "L" stamped on the muzzle.  Thinking back, I believe I may have read that he stamped the muzzle of bores that he reworked.

Is that correct to your thinking?

Many thanks, Skychief

Bill did put the "L"stamp on recut barrels but not always.I don't know why he
would advertise left hand twists when there was no machine for it.

There is one thing I nearly forgot. In the early 1950's,Bill bought rifled blanks from John Buehmiller
who I think lived in Montana. These may have been left hand twist. They were round and Bill would
change the shape of the rifling and then plane it octagon and usually installed a breech plug.
As I said before and having helped Bill modify Pratt&Whitney rifling machines by making transmissions
and a rack and pinion system that could vary a twist I have no recollection of any left handed ones.

When I was about 13 years old Bill gave me one of his barrels . It was right handed twist of 45 caliber & the only signature that was on it was the L stamped on the muzzle end.  I made it into a deer hunting rifle. This was 51 years ago. Hope this helps solve your mystery.

Thank you for the replies all.

It seemed that the plot thickens.

I'm not sure what I have here!

Best regards, Skychief
