New Fowler Bag
« on: April 08, 2009, 03:59:58 PM »
Here are a few photos of a new fowler bag I made to a pattern Tim Crosby was kind enough to send me.

It is made out of lightweight (1-2 oz) veg tanned leather and died with Fiebing's Mahogany die, waxed with brown Kiwi shoe polish.  The flap is backed with deerskin which binds the edge.
It is about 8 1/2" by 8 1/2" with a small pocket on the inside of the back pouch.

Nice looking bag Larry.  It looks like you can actually get your hand in that bag! So many of the bags made these days might be historically correct but unless you have a small, feminine hand you can't get anything out of them.

Good construction Larry. Also, very good color. And as said above, it looks like you can get a hand in it.
