browning sights?
« on: August 30, 2016, 11:29:53 PM »
I'm working on this Pedersoli pistol kit.  I'm currently browing the barrel.  The sights are blued. maybe its paint?  Can I strip off the blue with Naval Jelly and brown like the barrel?  Are the sights steel?  I'm using Laurel mountain browning solution.

any suggestions?

Thanks

That stuff might work but I would use sand paper.

Thanks.. So you think the Laurel mountain browning solution will work on the sights?  They are very light, and I'm not sure what kind of metal it is.

and no finer than 220 if I'm doing it.  assuming ferrous metal.

Heck I'd hit 'em with a file to give 'em that "lived in" look.
